The Competition
Does your choir want to be titled “PMLL Choir of the Year”? Well we have got just the thing for you!
To celebrate 10 years of PMLL, we are hosting the PMLL Choir of the Year Competition! With a simple and easy entry requirement, you will have a chance to:
- Be awarded the title “PMLL Choir of the Year”
- Have your rehearsal space paid for by PMLL for one year (up to the value of £2000)
- Perform at the MPA Christmas lunch on 16 December 2022
How to Enter
Any choir that has purchased an Amateur Choir Licence in 2022 or purchases a licence between 1st August 2022 and 14th October 2022 is eligible to be entered into the competition.
Licences must be purchased via the PMLL portal and the licence fee must have been paid in order for the choir to be eligible.
Only one entry per choir is permitted
Stage 1:
Please let us know in no more than 500 words why you deserve to win PMLL Choir of the Year via [email protected] no later than 12.00pm on 14th October 2022.
The written entry will then be judged by the MPA Group CEO, PMLL Managing Director, and Chair of the PMLL Board. Three choirs will be chosen to move through to the final stage, and they will be notified no later than the third week of October 2022.
Stage 2:
The three finalists will be asked to submit a video audition of their choir performing. A panel will then judge the videos and using transparent criteria (which we will supply to the finalists) will choose a winner. The winning choir will be notified no later than 18th November 2022.
